So this photoblog isn’t even 48 hours old and already I’m getting requests! If you haven’t had the chance to hear Gilberto Moreaux play, you should! Originally from Havana, Cuba and now based in Vancouver he is one of the best percussionists I’ve ever heard or played with! (on drum set, timbales, congas, bongos…. whatever!). Constantly in demand in the city he is seen here with Zapato Negro. (playing at the Jazz Cellar on August 10th, 11th)
